Summer Camp for Men

So I will now revive my blog......

There are few times in a man's life that he is able to feel and experience the emotion of his childhood. Many things in this world weight down the soul and it is the spiritual self that keeps a person going and it seems like much of my life is spent trying to feel the comfort and stability of my childhood. With that said, there are a few things that happen each year that help me peer into this "child-like" state and recharge my insides..... a few of these times include Christmas, Thanksgiving, Drumcorps Shows, and the one I just experienced.... Airventure Oshkosh (www.airventure.org) . This past week I ventured to Oshkosh,WI and met my dad for what has become a ritual of sorts...Father and Son time if you will. When I was a kid Dad would take me to the Sun-n-fun flyin in Lakeland,FL and it lit in me a fire for aviation and all things flying. As I grew up I was able to obtain my pilots license and fly around with all those cool pilots and talk pilot stuff however it was not until I was exposed to Airventure Oshkosh that I realized what roll aviation would represent in my life. The past week my goals each day were the following:

-Eat Brats
-Hang with my dad
-Fly my Navion in the airshow
-renew old friendships
-Eat more Brats

The following video tells the story pretty much. I sure hope every man has something in his life that helps him recharge his youthful, clear batteries like I do. There is so much today that is distracting....... try and remember what made you feel like a kid. I promise you it will be worth it and your family will notice the smile on your face.
